chiara is one of the few remaining hotels of its
caliber that continues to be owned and run by the same
family for generations past. the original structure was
primarily a convent. throughout the years it served to
sell wine and olive oil with the possibility of
lodgings until in the year 1883 when it became a hotel.
many of the rooms available to our guests have recently
been refurbished and there is also the possibility of
wireless internet connection in the public areas. in
room amenities include air conditioning mini bar sat tv
direct dial telephone and desk with working area. the
hotel also includes within its grounds an open space
where one can relax with a drink whilst admiring the
spectacular view of the santa maria sopra minerva
church. the hotels breakfast room has recently
undergone refurbishment and provides a rich buffet
daily. additional information children age 3 and under
stay free in the room with parents and in existing
